LANI is a music duo formed in August 2019 in Warsaw. It consists of Doris Morawska and Arkadiusz Szwed (SZWED SWD). They come from different musical backgrounds. They met by accident through a common friend, Bilon - a rapper from the band HEMP GRU. Less than a month after they first met, they created material for an EP. To be released very soon, the material combines chillout, trip hop and synth pop. Szwed’s eclectic beats oscillate between electronics and hip hop. Together with Doris’ unusual and delicate voice, they create a synthesis of unconventional, stylish pop. LANI’s hypnotizing sound presents a subtle refusal to conform with the common clichés of pop.
